I am thinking about doing the 1" lowering kit which just moves your rear rear shock lower mounting points back a little causing the rear fender to drop 1"
I have a 2007 FXDC fitted with 440s and find them an excellent bit fo kit, done a bit of tweaking with the setting for a while till i found them to my satisfaction, but never found any harsh ride from them,im just back from a ride round Europe and had no sore *** syndrome the whole time, also find the sharp hairpin bends a lot easier to get round with the 440s.
No matter what way you find to lower your back end you will always find the front end lighter and not handling as good, so something needs to be done to lower the front end also.
