Default Riding armed...

We've got our concealed carry and I have every intention of carrying on some of my rides. Just wondering how others are carrying while they ride. Specifically, are you keeping it on you, or on the bike. If on the bike, what have you come up with that works well?

Thanks

I don't know if I'd cross state lines with a concealed hand gun. At least not in New York!

I don't use it, and it would be illegal in Texas, but I always thought it looked pretty badass. (Weapon has to be completely concealed in TX)

As long as you are going into a state that shares reciprocity with the issuing state, you're good. Just make sure you are following any guidelines that may differ. I carry about 90% of the time, as long as I an not going onto Ft. Benning. Usually in the waistband or in a shoulder holster. Not much good if its in a saddle bag or something like that

I'd never leave a weapon on the bike. Your concealed carry permit is for carrying, not leaving unattended in a relatively unsecure location.

Not only is is easy to break in to just about every compartment/luggage system on a bike, your entire bike could get lifted and you're out a bike and firearm.

Since Concealed Carry is against the law in Wisconsin, I'll neither confirm nor deny what I carry and when.

I can say that I carry a SOG Twitch XL.

Aside from that, I would say a nice, snug shoulder holster would probably be the most efficient. Concealed under a vest or jacket and comfortable because it wouldn't be jabbing you in the back, side, or stomach.

I have a sub-compact Glock .40 model 27 that fits real nice in the pocket of cargo pants.

The Texas DPS website has a list of states with reciprocity, I would imagine they are the same as MO, assuming that's where you're from.

I carry my Ruger LCP in a IWB holster at 2:00, always. It is always accessible, standing, sitting or riding. I rarely ever feel it there.
