Default Yet another baffle question...

I know this has been asked often but I just can't find an answer through search.

Which Harley slip on has removable baffles? A friend want to take off his stock mufflers and add a slip on with Big City Thunder Baffles to be installed later.

Best I could find out was the SE II Slip ons... is that right?

He is looking for better sound without fuel management and open A/C.

The best SEIIs to get are the 06 and earlier sometimes refered to as pre EPA. Those sound great with BCT baffles.

+1 on the pre EPA SEII's. I have those slip ons and installed BCT baffles and it sounds great!

I bought a set of harley SE mufflers for an 06 for my 09 custom. The baffles are secured by two star screws with a center post. You can either grind out the center post, find the star screw driver that has a hole in the center, or just do as I did and use a small vice grip. Easy enough with the vice grip. I slightly modified the baffles (twice) until I got the sound I wanted without being loud. Don't know if baffles from other sources will fit, but others might.

The streetbob has removable baffles. You can find those quit often. I have a set of cycle shack baffles on the way for mine. They are a replacement for the SE baffles. But sound better.

What Street Bob has removable baffles? I have an 08 and I do not believe they are. If so, how can I go about it?

I am sorry, let me rephrase my statement. The 09' and 2010 streetbob.
