False nuetral at high altitude.
i have a 06 Fxdwgi nuetral light comes on while riding at altidude it starts at 6ooo ft up to 11000 then back down to 5000ft. it has happened about 4 times and in 4,5,6 gear any ideas any one? rich

Could you be getting some condensation at the higher (cooler?) altitudes? I got a neutral light while on a long trip through MO this summer. Wicked high humidity. I ignored it since it was pretty obvious I wasn't in neutral and it went away. Sometimes that's the best way to fix things.

Did you purchase the Nuetral/Altimeter option?
Just kidding, never have heard of this before. Seems to me the switch is mechanical in nature but the plundger could be pushing against a diaphram or seal inside the switch that's reacting to the change in pressure on the outboard side of the seal.

Thank you for your replies. I believe your right it has to do with high gearbox pressure at at high altitude (low press) I dont to Reno or Yosemite that much its just the switch. Thanks again splater, wecroft.

I had a problem with my 06 WG and the dealer says that there is an "O" ring that had to be replaced under the neutral switch as the factory one sometimes hangs up, after they did the repair never happened again in 15Kms
