Default What Pipes Do U Have?

Good afternoon all,

I am brand new to this Forum and to HD all together. I bought an 06 Cobalt Blue Bob last Friday and am in serious need of making it sound like a Harley. [8D] I had made plans on getting the Screamin Eagle slip ons, but the day I bought the bike HD told me they dis continued those. (damnit) I am looking to spend no more than $300 on them, can someone make some suggestions on which ones to buy and who has the best price on them? I sure would appreciate it, I am wanting a deep thumping Harley sound to it.

Thanks in advance,

Sean Ward

you can get a set of python staggered duals for little over 400 from eastern performance on ebay. if you want to stay cheap ive heard of people buying cycle shack slip-ons for $125 NEW. look through jpcycles.com and denniskirk.com see what you want then find the best prices on the net.

You can find the SEIIs on eBay for about 100 bucks.

I promise to not ask anymore re-map questions after this one.

'06 Low rider has Stage 1 kit, HD Download, and SE1 slipons. Would I have to re-map if I change to Cycle Shack slip-ons?

Thanks,
Sammi

I have an 03 lowrider and I am having V&H Big Shots put on as I type. I have a stage 1 with screaming Eagles slip-ons coming off.

anytime you change airflow into or out of the engine you have to re-map or re-jet depending on your bike. that is if you want the best possible a/f ratio throughout the rev range. however changing from one slip-on to another you should not hurt anything, although its probably not optimal.

For around $150 Cycle Shack slip-on mufflers are a good buy, They sound nice and the performance is good.

I would never pay the stealers for another junk re-map for 200 bucks. Just buy a PCIII or SERT, so you don't have to pay no matter how many times you change you exhaust.
