My heads are coming off soon for a mild port job and I'm having a hard time with this itch also, I don't want too much compression and I don't want my cyl. walls too thin with the FL. heat, but when my heads are off most of the labor would be done already and a set of Wiseco's are lookin good.

dont worry about the cyls, mine are bored 3.875 with 10.6 comp in this texas heat with no problems, gonna bore to 3.938 this winter to make it a 98. a 103 with 9.5 to 9.8 and your andrews 37s would be reliable and have plenty of power.

If I had it to do over again, that's what I would do (throw in a cam) but my technician rolled it around for a few days and suggested the cams would be more effective if I increased the compression, etc., so I went with the 103. I still wouldn't do it again though it runs great and is reliable and I enjoy a handfull of throttle now and then.

Mine did it all, including cams, for 1350.00 and threw in a free Dyno, setting things up with the PCIII, after running 500 miles. Winter special. The only time I like winter.

The 103ci flat top Wiseco's are advertised at 9.6:1 so I should be in that ballpark, that's what I was shootin for. I'm doing both at once, time and cost wise it's the best route. I already went from just wanting intake/exhaust/tuner to going with cams/regear/clutch I hope I'll be done after porting/pistons, for what I have this bike for that should do it for me.

you"ll need a 200 or 240 rear tire conversion next. i"m sending my heads to deweys when i tear down this winter, his pro street port seems to be the best bang for the buck.

I really don't get some of you guys that think the standard SE 103 Stg 2 sucks.
I just got back from blowing the F$%@^&*@ doors off my buddy's new stock Superglide.

edit: I guess he doesn't have doors but you know what I mean

Line it up with a built 95" and see what happens. Hell, line it up with a 88" with headwork and cams. I know the old saying their is no replacement for displacement, but the standard 103" isnt all its cracked up to be. For some reason, the ones with cams and headwork aren't all that impressive compaired to 95" either.
