Blow by mod
Hey guys, a while back I posted about putting a Moom a/c on my bike. Any way I ran into problems with pressure blowing my oil cap out. I'm at it again. I had a machine shop line bore some bolts with a 1/8 hole and the ran tubing to a "t" then down to a fuel filter. Thot I had it whipped. Still blowin the cap. Do you think pulling the filter would eliminate the problem. Am I missin something here? Do I produce so much blow by that I need a filter or just need to keep an eye on the tube end. 05 Dyna SGC. Any help is appreciated. Geez

tie a shop rag around the end of the tube and go for a ride. If you're still blow the cap off, there's something else amiss I think.
As I look at it more.... you may be filling the lines up with oil, because they are pointed up, and not enough pressure/air flow to blow them clear. Maybe try with the lines pointed down.
Also, what diameter fuel filter are you using? The filter itself may not be allowing enough air flow if it doesn't have enough surface area....
Just some thoughts there geez...

If it is creating that much pressure a leak down test is in order.
Other thought is, does that fuel filter you have allow easy air flow, in short can you blow through it with out much pressure? If it is restrictive I would eliminate it or find a non restrictive filter set up.

+1 on your tubes filling with oil and blocking the flow. They need to run downhill all the way. (Remember that in the stock setup there's "vacuum" on that line.)
Good Luck!
Have a good one,
Dave
PS - Rather than use a fuel filter you might want to check out some of the oil catch cans for this that they have at summit racing ..not sure if they make one that's Harley sized or not . . .but might be worth a look.
