I was at the stealership the other day and saw a analog style oil temp guage on a dipstick. I thought I was just cool as h3ll. I was then informed that I can't have one Cuz they don't make them for my 06 Bobber. Any clues on where I can get such a thing?
I am wondering what is different about the ones on the shelf at the dealer. Is is the thread size ir the dip stick length? Thread size can't be helped but length can probably be overcome.

I do believe the 06 dipstick is completely different animal
I have been looking for an oil temp/dipstick as well for my 06 FXDLI. The one for previous models will apparentley not work. I am waiting for one to come online. More and more 06 DYNA stuff is coming down all the time. Patience I guess....

My understanding is that there will NOT be anymore of the analog style(29.99) made all that will be avail is the digital(99.99) price aside I think the analog one look sooooo much better. A Street Bob is not a digital gauge kinda bike. It's strictly an analog animal......just seems right to me.
I also was faced with this problem. I wanted the analog style for the dyna low. I went to the dealership and they had told me since it is a different motor than say the sportster (which has the option availible to get the analog). If you take out your original dipstick you will see that the stick is angled. Aparently they cannot make the analog style angled like that. Somehow the technology doesn't exist, or they just want you to spend $100 on a digital thermometer. I wonder which. If anyone finds an analog one, please fill the rest of us in!!
