Default Mini ape to t-bar question

Hey for anyone out there that has gone from street bob mini apes to t-bar's I have a question about cable length. The new bars I ordered today have 8" riser's/32"width and 6" pullback. Has anyone made a similar switch and if so did you need to change cables?? Thanks for any help

I did it on my 03 wide glide. I think the stock bars are similar. My cables are slightly long now, but not too bad.

I went from the stock mini apes to night train drags with the 8" risers.Should be about the same length as what you're wanting to do. I used all the night train cables and they fit perfectly. You should be able to look up the lengths of the NT cables and go from there.

My first bar replacement was taking off the mini apes and installing with 8" t-bars from Wild 1. No problems except the turn sigs barely cleared the tank. Just relocated the sigs but I should have done that months ago. As long as you're changing bars you might want to think about doing it at the same time, it will make the bars look better, IMO.

Hey thanks for the responces. Sounds like I will be able to go ahead and use my cable's which should make things easier. And NEVIL I was already planning on a turn sugnal relocation, just trying to figure out what kit I will use or if I will just stick with the relocation in the UNDER 50$ MODS section. Thanks again

The kit I used was a Drag Specialties part that I got from Dennis Kirk for $19.95 plus like $8 shipping. It's clean and simple and doesn't stick out too far. Others have used the mod using another turn signal mount for the signal housing. (I would give you the part # but my regular computer just blew up.) Either way, you're under $50.
