Yeh, Skully, they are stock 07 FXD mags that I had chromed. I bought them from a forum member for a couple hundred bucks, sent them off to get them chromed and then sold my stock spokes for exactly what I paid for these rims. Essentially I swapped them out without having my bike down while I waited. I had an offer to do a straight swap with someone else without exchanging money other than cost of shipping. But I would have had to leave my bike up on a lift with no wheels while the rims were being chromed. Ended up taking 6 weeks to get them back but that's another story. I'm very happy with how it all turned out. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions about it.
where did you get them chromed?
how much did it cost?
It cost me about $600 to get them chromed. Sent them to Chrome Pros in Corpus Christi, TX. Wasn't totally happy with the customer service I got but I'm not going to drag all that out again. If you do a search by my user name and their name, you'll probably find the details if you care to know. All I can say is, don't be in any kind of hurry and get the total price in writing up front and you should be okay.
Also consider you are going to want to do other things with chrome wheels that will add to the cost such as, polished brake rotors, chrome wheel spacers, chrome axle covers (I have a brand new set of chrome front axle covers for sale in the classifieds), etc.
