So we have the new 2010 Wide Glide, I seen it at the dealer and it looks like the Fat Bob with the exception the rear fender and front end. They did not even change the exhaust. I think the moco could of changed it up a little bit more. Dont get me wrong it is sweet and I am wanting that rear fender on my bob. Just wanted to know what everybody thinks.

It seems like the MOCO copied the FB when bringing 'back' the WG. The 'Tommy Gun' exhaust was a main highlight in the FB addvertisments.
I'm glad they changed the Fat Bob enough not to look like the previous WG modle.
I think it's a little dissapointing that they didn't changed the Wide Glide exhaust.
As to the WG rear fender... FB owners are already buying it from the dealer for a direct bolt on mod.
they look about as similar as a the fatbob and the streetbob. To me the widglide has a totally different style than the fatbob. Different frame, different tank, seat, wheels, front fender, rear fender, bars, dash, paint, rear sprocket, shocks.... only thing the two share is the exhaust, risers, and both are in the dyna lineup.
I disagree. I think that the WG looks about as much like a Fat Bob as it does like any other Dyna. The only common elements between the FXDWG and FXDF are the air cleaner and exhaust. IMO the two bikes don't look similar at all.

I think the forks are longer ... at least they look longer. I haven't looked at the spec sheet, but traditionally, the FXDWG had a little more rake than the other models so didn't really 'share' a frame ... (as I understand, part of the rake is in the trees) ... so that even those who converted their Dyna to a Wide Glide really didn't quite have it ....
The 21" wheel is visually so different from the 16" with dual discs, I don't know how someone would think they're the same bike.
I've never really warmed up to the 'tommy gun' exhaust ... of course, I'm not a big fan of the Thunderheader aesthetic (except to acknowledge it's superior performance and sound qualities) ....
But, the looks of the new Wide Glide rock if you slap set of Big Radius 2-into-2 on it. JMHO ....

Right... doesn't anyone notice that the WG has more rake? Personally, I love it. If I was shopping for a bike now, I doubt I would have still gotten the FB. I hated the model when it was first announced, but it really grew on me. The WG just instills pure lust!
The WG has 34 degrees of rake, the FB has 29 degrees. IMO that is a big difference. I really can't believe people think that these bikes are similar. They are both Dynas with the same air cleaner and exhaust, that is about it.
