I am 6' even, 33" inseam, and have mid-controls. I just this week did a 700 mile trip, I used the passenger pegs for a change up, I thought it was pretty comfortable.

I'm 6" and have the mids on my Dyna. I just finished rebuilding it and was trying to keep it on a low budget. I just picked an 11125CR a couple weeks ago so I am thinking about selling then Dyna. However, if I end up keeping it I will put forward controls on it. Just more comfortable for me.

Your exact height....33" inseam. I prefer mids also, with highway pegs for occasional stretch. I like being able to lift my **** off the seat when going over railroad tracks, or just to air things out on a hot day....just sayin'. Can't do that with forwards! It's nice to take some pressure off the tailbone as well.

Also, lots of curvy roads here. Usually ride the beemer for mountain carving, but even for tighter sweepers, I feel much more in control countersteering with feet on the mids. Anyone who's learned to countersteer properly understands that lateral weight transfer (on the pegs) is part of the process when the curves get tight. Gotta have mids. Proper countersteering habits aren't something I want to change to make the bike look purty. Of course, the pegs scrape too easily, but that's another thread.

Despite other comments, I really like the ability to shift/brake with heels if needed. Makes the factory set-up that much more versatile. Sounds like you're heading down the right road. One man's opinion.
