I throw an airhawk air cushion on when I need to ride hours without issue. Raises me about 1/4 inch but spreads out the load. The BB is a narrow seat, fine for me, but not so good for others that need wide support. The up front has a little more padding in the tail bone area and puts me in a perfect riding position. If I need more comfort I ride the convertible, no buffeting, ride all day, nice and warm.... great audio... and can be made weather proof at the flick of a switch :-)
The silhouette is bigger and has more padding than the bare bones, a little different style but also a very nice seat.

Everyones opinion is different and so are their butts. I've had a bare bones for 3 years now and think the comfort sucks, If I'm going over 80 miles i throw on my Danny Gray and have comfort all day. And if you need a air cushion ..........That says alot about the barebones confort........OK i'm done
I swichted from a Solo Silhouette to the Barebone LT on my Sportster and it looks alot better and just as comfortable. On my SB I went with the Solo Silhouette and figure for longer rides I still have the Factory Solo Seat.
I might buy a couple Sting Ray Hides and have them both redone this winter.
