SE II Exhaust pop rivets ?

Ok so I opened up the box for the new SEII slip ons for my Bob and I found 2 pop rivets in the bottom of the box? What gives? is this, I would assume, one for each pipe as an added security blanket? Mind you I have not ventured to the bike yet, I assumed that it would be straight forward on the install. Thanks

That's only optional. Many here on the forum did not use them, including myself, just make sure you torque to specs.

i put mine in the garbage. don't need no stinkin rivits,LOL.

Ok I guess the obvious question is, what is the torque spec? Last bike I just put them on, I know when I do mufflers on cars that I tighten till I like it, haha.

60 foot lbs, or, about twice what you think it'd be if you hand tightened.

Done, Thanks everyone..

Took only about 1/2 hr I was surprised figured I would be there for at least 2, so I took the other 1.5 hrs for a ride.

WOW just from the around town reaction I got, the pipes got game........

The computer ran fine with the EFI nothing really seemed off, if anything it actually felt like it was running better, even felt like better response at the throttle. Now save up for the air cleaner and the commander and I will be set there.
