Peg vibration 98 Dyna
I just did a top and bottom rebuild on my 98 dyna. Also increased comp to 9.5:1, ev 46, .05 bore ove, m6 chain tensioner. Post break in I started bringing rpm's up and now have a harmonic type vibration in my pegs around 4000 rpm's. Did not have this before rebuild and. Don't have it from idel to around 4000. Replaced front motor mount, checked all other bolts. Don't know what else to do. Balance masters?

I don't think so the bike pulls hard throught all gears no vibration from idel to around 4 grand. Never coughs sputters. Have a mik 42 20 pilot clip all the way down on needle and 165 main. Plugs are brownish.

Check for anything which might be hitting the frame. I had something similar after a top end rebuild on my old FXR and it turned out one of the rocker box bolts had backed out and was hitting the frame at high rpms.

I think i figured it out. The small leather tool holder mounted by the front motor mount was rubbing. Also did the whole jack the motor up until u can move the mount bolts freely thin schim the space between so you dont preload the mount and it worked the vibration is gone.
