But their own website also makes it clear, that they do NOT recommend those extended intervals to any motor that has been modified from stock.
True. I dont go the double intervals anyway. Even on my stock honda civic. But i feel the oil is superior to most other oils and i trust it to go further than the regular change intervals, even on modified engines. I have also tested the cooler running of it and found out firsthand that its true(20+ degrees cooler on a big twin). Plus synthetic in general has a higher breakdown point than conventional oil so thats a plus.
Amsoil is good oil. I use 20W-50 in the primary and engine and 75W-140 severe gear in the transmission. The gear oil actually dampened the 5th gear whine a little bit. I still faintly notice it but nowhere near what it was.
I run Amsoil in the Eng and Primary
I was running Amsoil in the Trans but Switched to the Red Line Tranny oil. It cut down the 5th gear noise even more, it is thin and it sticks to the gears does not run off
Wow, this is a new and interesting topic...maybe it belongs in the oil and oil related topics section, with the 3 million other posts saying the same thing.

I run the 20W50 in all 3 holes. Works great. I'm lousy at changing my fluids at regular intervals. Usually go 20-40,000 miles between changes in my cars. Bike I try to do at least every 10,000. I get 200,000 miles out of my Jeeps no problem. No idea on the bike yet.
