Amsoil is good oil. I use 20W-50 in the primary and engine and 75W-140 severe gear in the transmission. The gear oil actually dampened the 5th gear whine a little bit. I still faintly notice it but nowhere near what it was.
I run Amsoil 20w-50 in all three and I like it. You pay more for it, but you can go longer between changes. The shop I use will top off the levels between changes for free, which is nice.
I swear by Amsoil. Ive been using it in all my motorcycles, cars, etc. for a couple years now. Like it so much i became a dealer for them when i opened my shop.
I use 20w50 in engine, tranny, and primary. And yes per Amsoils claim you can "go twice the OEM manufacturers suggested interval between oil changes if used with the Amsoil Filter"

But their own website also makes it clear, that they do NOT recommend those extended intervals to any motor that has been modified from stock.
heath at amsoil is helping us out with product for this year(oil for the dragbike),he gave us some for the last race of the year, ran a 7.28 (10th under the national AMRA record).wasnt just the oil,but on tear down everything looked perfect.if it`ll handle a 450 hp nitro motor,it can handle anything.
