07 Street Bob. Stock exhaust and plan to keep it that way. But the football a/c which doesn't bother me at all on my FLHTC just doesn't look right on this bike.
I want to switch to something round but the stock backing plate is a football also, of course.
So if I put a SE a/c unit on it without changing exhaust, how will it affect the way the bike runs? I know the SE would allow more air to flow in, but with stock exhaust it can't run out any faster. So I suppose the question is, on a stock bike what is the primary restriction? Is it the a/c or the exhaust? If its the exhaust changing the a/c shouldn't (to my way of thinking) make any difference.
If the stock a/c is the restriction then a SE unit would allow more air to flow in which the pipes could handle and, I assume, lean the heck out of things.
