I have been thinking of bagging out my Dyna...does anyone know if you can get a bat wing fairing for a dyna... I was just gonna get one off ebay and do my own brackets...
I might possibly see myself on a bagger when i get older, hell im only 52 now and i love my wg way too much. If and when i do the only one i really like the looks of is a softtail heritage, lol if i need a trunk ill be in my truck, lol
I don't tour I cruise and bar hop which is why the Dyna is perfect for me. Most the guys that I know who have baggers do just the same as me cruise and bar hop. They might go on a tour trip once a year.
Today I got off my Sporty from an interstate ride straight onto a Heritage. The main reason was to try out the windshield at interstate speeds. That's another story...
However, after about 15 minutes, I swapped the Heritage for a Street Glide and repeated the trip. The street glide has the higher windshield on it, a 10 inch maybe?
Here's the point, the Heritage was a gorgeous chromed out bike with a Sundowner seat that was a suprisingly comfortable ride Very nice on the highway, and didn't handle that bad. The Street Glide I've ridden before...it's my sister's bike and has been lowered so I bottom out on it frequently. It's smooth, handles better than the Heritage and has hard bags. She uses it more than she does her car.
I wouldn't trade my Dyna for either one of them. Although I haven't ridden an Ultra in a long time, I'd have to give that one the same comparison. I now know that I won't be getting a windshield for my Dyna, thanks to this forum's information and today's ride. I'm comfortable on long trips on my Dyna. I'd like waterproof luggage and occasionally would like cruise control. The luggage is easier to do, maybe not the CC. I have many more years and trips in my Dyna, then we'll see.
My point is that different bikes work for different riders, and I'm not into getting something because it's the current fad or to impress anyone else. Me and my sister ride a lot and I take my Sportster as much as the Dyna because I like it.
I do know that I will spend some money renting a model I'm considering before I buy another bike, unless I get another Dyna, which I probably will do anyway.

http://www.tsukayu.com/QuickDetachab...ngforDyna.html Try this place, i got the fairing for my nomad here. Quick ship, looked great, best price out there, and easy to install. Plus you can get them vivid black or primer. Look at my photos and you will see my old Nomad with their fairing.
that's one bold, highly subjective, and STUPID statement right there.
They are the best and you know why I can say it so boldly? Cause I can and your bike is right up there in the upper echelons of greatness that can be achieved on 2 wheels.
Dyna, short for Dynamic or Dynamite.
