96 or 88 HOW TO TELL ?

Default 96 or 88 HOW TO TELL ?
here is my dilema i just got this 07 dyna wide glide the air cleaner says 96 the manifacture date is 8-06 on the frame....the vin year number is 7 BUT...yellow pearl is a 06 color only but in 06 there was no 96 inch but on title and reg it says its a 07 i am just wondering if i got screwed or if i have a rare bike it hasnt been a week since i got it so i have to find out fast if i am going to raise hell thanx on any input

My 07 was built in 06, does it have a 6 speed, no inspection cover in the primary. If so it's an 07 with a 96" motor.

looks like a 96inch to me with a 6speed tranny

Try this link with your VIN. It should confirm your bike's year and details.

You didn't get screwed, like anything else motorcycles come out months before the actual year its suppose to be. Example 2010's came out july/august of 2009, meaning the first few thousand were built in '09 while the rest will be '10 production. Looking at yours it's a '07. As for the color, there can be a few different reasons. Tins were swapped at customers request, moco didn't switch over to new colors yet. Tecnically it was painted in 2006 so that color was still available. Who knows.

According to this http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...aWideGlide.htm Yellow Pearl was available in 07 also. So it's pretty safe to say that your bike has the TC96.

if it is a 88 then sounds like you will be making a bad *** 95ci motor huh

The 06's have six speeds and no inspection cover in the primary as well so this isn't a way to determine engine size.

man you should hope its a 88 than go to 95 it will out run all those 96`s
