Anybody out there got the brown leather Solo Spring Seat made by HD?
I think it looks O.K. but I'm wondering about the comfort. Can any body enlighten me?
They're not comfortable. It's basically a piece of leather over a 1/2" of foam on a steel seat pan supported by crappy springs on top of a bike with you guessed it, springs.
I had a solo spring seat on my bike way before the HD one was ever thought of. It looked cooler than S***. But i messed up my shoulder at work and every time after that it really hurt my arm. not really comfy.... but the looks.....well you just cant beat it.
Like country punk said, it also depends alot on the seat. If its just a little crappy seat, a couple springs won't do much to make it comfy. I ran this on my shovel for a while. Defenietly not what you would want to tour on. But neither is a Shovel. I sat on the new Crossbones spring seat and it was a heck of alot more comfy than mine. But that seat would look AWFUL on a dyna.
just so u can see what 1 looks like on a dyna, and i dont have it on mine anymore but it rides good just didnt have the time to mount it like i wanted to and got offerd more than i paid for it from my cousin who put it on his shovel ,yes i know i need to update my pix
lol
rooster that seat looks alot better than imagined, kind of cool if you ask me, and thanks for the info bobber s glad someone chimed in with a sprung solo. I have the HD badlander solo and it isnt even that comfortable but looks better than stock.
