I agree completely, but realizing this is a public forum, we are all entitled to opinions, and beauty is in the eye of the ugh, rider, so what may look like Faith Hill sitting on my bike to me, may look like a gay cyclops to another.

Masked out, is my term for get some painters tape and tape, or mask, both sides of your windshield and then draw out your lines for cutting, it will be a smoother cut that way. The post above from archergodwin, was the one I used as instructions, check it out, it will walk you through it. I also used a sabresaw, some light sandpaper, and to really finish it off, I used some MEK, very very lightly on only the edge of the shield after cutting. When you cut the shield, it will leave the edge a clear color, which doesn't match the edge of the rest of the shield which is a slightly milky color. MEK, will do exactly that, it turns the plastic milky color. It is a very, very powerful cleaner, used in aviation so it is in essence, melting the plastic which gives the whittish color to it, so if you do it, very careful as to where your mek touches and I can't stress enough very sparingly. But, when it is said and done. you can't tell it didn't come from hd that way, it doesn't have, hey man did you butcher that shield up, written on it, lol....

Got a good deal on a 7" Fatboy bucket and ring only. No wiring, no bulb. Not sure of the year it came off. Since my 07 Street Bob has a halogen, can I reuse any/all of the guts (bulb, connector, bulb base, etc) and just get a larger lens? Any idea what parts/part numbers I'd need to do this?
Or do I have to buy all the guts for a Fatboy? I know I could stick a sealed beam in but I'd much rather have the halogen.
