So, there I am trying to start my bike this afternoon. It's been in bits since before Xmas whilst carrying out some work on it, part of which was the draining and removal of the tank to get to the wiring underneath it.
As I'm stood there cranking it over with no signs of life happening, I decided I'd best go check for sparks. Yep - big fat juicy ones, so it must be fuel. So, let the fuel lines go - nothing coming out of the petcock. It was at this point I remembered that the Dyna has a vacuum pipe which opens the petvalve - quick look at the back of it and sure enough no pipe connected.........in fact no pipe to be found! Looks like the tank will have to be lifted again to try and find it, it's buried under there somewhere! I Really must buy a workshop manual sometime
I've been working on bikes with fuel pumps for way too long! In the words of Homer - "DOH!"
Manyana will have to do - cant be bothered right now I've got Man Flu

It must be something in the air here in the UK at present! Been working on my bike over the weekend and kept putting things on and forgetting things like that vital washer.... It'll get better as the weather warms up.
