I want to get saddle bags for my 08 SB. But I don't want to keep them on all the time, I don't like to keep alot stuff on my bike. Just when the wife and I are taking a trip for a few days and need the extra storage space. I even take off the luggage rack when I don't need to carry the sissybar bag.
I have been looking at Easy Brackets and Ghost Brackets. Does anyone have any experience with either one? How much better is one over the other? Is there anything else available?
I know I could get set of throw overs but I want to take them off when I get to where I am going, and don't want to have to take the seat off. I also worry about them rubbing the paint.
Any pictures would be really be apprectiated. Thanks in advance.

Reason: typo
I've got throw overs myself. I just have the old lady sit on the cross strap instead of pulling the seat. The added bonus is that it pulls the bags away from the running gear, so things don't rub at all.
dont mind the dirty bike, it was dry and dusty at last years easyrider rodeo in chillicothe ohio
HERE IS A PIC OF MY STREET BOB BAGGED UP... I HAVE THE GHOST BRACKETS. I GOT A SET OF USED THROWOVERS OFF EBAY, THESE BAGS WERE ZIP OFF (MIGHT BE ANOTHER OPTION TO CHECK INTO), CUT THE YOKE OFF. CUT SOME PLEXIGLASS (INSIDE BACK OF BAG) TO MAKE THE BAGS RIGID ENOUGH TO MOUNT THE GHOST BRACKETS, RELOCATED TURN SIGNALS. AND MOUNTED EVERYTHING UP. PRETTY EASY AND SIMPLE. THEN THEY JUST POP OFF WHEN NOT IN USE, WHICH IS MORE OFTEN!

Thats not a bad idea I never gave doing that a thought. I am not sure how well that will work for me. My wife can't keep her *** still for more than about 3 or 4 seconds while on the bike.
If you are looking at bags with hard backs, take a look at Cyclevisions Bare Backs.
Pros, very easy to install, perfect fit if the bags are made for your bike, if you get the caps for them you will not notice the hardware left behind, and the bags come off in 10 seconds.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
hahahahahha, I know what you mean. I have to look for some different pegs for her to use, the ones I got "tickle her feet" and she is usually giggling like crazy and wiggling around back there!!
