Default forward control clearance

It seems like every corner I take I'm scraping the mids on my bob, even my boot scapes the ground. I was thinking of putting highway pegs on for the longer trips, but with all of the scraping going on, I'm leaning toward shelling out the extra $200 and changing to forwards. My question is: do the forwards offer more clearance taking the corners? Have any of you noticed a difference? And can you still be as aggressive with the bike with the forward position? Thanks.

I believe that you will actually have less clearance with the forwards at least that is my experience.

I just put forwards on mine and now this is the first bike I've ridden with them. The first thing I noticed is that I felt my heals were closer to the ground, but that could be my imagination. The second I noticed was that it seemed like I could not corner as aggressive.

I tend to turn a little slower than I did a few years ago but I still have scraped the pegs with the forwards on. I actually had to try with the mids.

Fwds will lessen your clearance. Guess I don't notice 'cuz I'm used to the low ride of my Outlaw. I've ground down a lot of peg on that one, and the 'Bob does not touch at that angle.

If you want more ground clearance you'd have to raise the suspension. Dunno if you want to go that route.

I occasionally drag the forwards. They also do put you in a less aggressive posture. That is fine with me. The asphalt rubbed most of the stupid off of me years ago. Now I am content to sit back and ride.

I dragged the mids once, before I removed them. So far, I haven't dragged peg or heel with the forwards. Unlike alot pf people, however, I have not lowered my ride from stock.

I don't feel the forwards are any less 'agressive'. If anything, the mids made me feel awkward, cuz I felt all hunched up.

I never scraped with my mids, but the forwards on the bike do. I usually scrape the right boot heel first, which is a good indication that something else more expensive is going to be scraping shortly. I think for me anyway, the forwards brought with them a less aggressive ride, which in the long run is not all that bad. It makes the ride more enjoyable.

I scrape the mids occaisionally but comming off a sporty riceburner the mids actually feel pretty far forward to me.I think I would try Highway pegs first before I messed with forwards though. It's nice to have options for your feet.

I got my Low Rider and it has mids I want to switch to forwards.

The dealer quoted me $300+ for the forwards plus a foot rest for $100 on each side? Is that right?

Also, would there be a better place to buy these parts other than the dealer?

FYI the installation labor quote was at $180
