I would get an E-code or European headlight if you want better light. The sealed beam pattern used in the states sucks.
Disclaimer: Most are not DOT cert and not allowed on the roads in the states... DO as you feel risky.

Check the alignment of your headlight before you give up on the factory bulb.
Sure there are better bulbs out there but I don't care what kind of bulb you're running,if your headlamp is not aimed properly you're not going to be satisfied.
Most dealers don't check headlite alignment as part of the set up and it makes all the difference in the world.

I got 90/100 W bulb.
Now I can see things in front of my bike after dark and during rain.
If you ever come across Krakow, let me know I will buy you a beer.
