You'll get burned. I knew the exhaust wrap could potentially crack my exhaust but I though it would take longer than 4K miles. Oh well, lesson learned.
Wow!
I hope that...
after painting my pipes with high temp paint befor I wraped em, and spraying them after wrapping with the silicone paint the supplier recomended...
that doesn't happen to mine.

Well, a new system is financially out of the question right now so I will be putting the stock system back on for a while. I love the look of wrapped pipes, but unless I win the lottery I wont be doing it again.
Wow. That sucks... Before doing any research, I'll fire off a stupid question: I was under the impression that the wrap on the pipes would help dissipate heat. That must not be the case and in fact quite the opposite. Is it holding heat? And is this a common occurrence (given time) with wrapped pipes?
The wrap holds the heat in, not dissipates it and I don't know if this is a "common" occurrence, but it's surely a well documented side effect.
Yes it was dyno tuned and running like a top.
It is a Bassani Road Rage
