Following the lead of several others here (thanks, guys!) I swapped the stock console on my 07 Street Bob for the 08 CVO chrome piece with dash mounted ignition switch. As they've all said, easy except for unplugging the connector from the original switch. The rest is a piece of cake. Here's the original and a few of the new:

 

Looks good, I want to add the switch to the stock consloemyself so much nicer then then the side of the frame.

Looks great! I guess I didn't even realize that it wasn't there on the stocker.

 

My tank is an FXD tank, it is pretty easy to do this mod. All you need is a piece of 1/8" aluminum and a dremel tool as a minimal tool.
