I don't understand. Why bother to race your Harley??? Here are some good options to go fast, very fast: 1000RR, ZX14, GSX-R1300, or 1198 (Brands withheld)..
Dont get me wrong, I know if I really want to go fast, buy a crotch rocket. But I don't want that all the time, I mostly just go for cruise's and lots of two up with the wifey. But I look at my Harley like a good Ol' American street rod. Like a 57' Chevy not made to be a drag car, but pretty bad a$$ when you see one built to the hills pull the front off the ground. Yet still be a cruiser. Ya know what I am trying to say, I hope.

LMFAO...... Well I am not rich by any means, but I got deeper pockets then these two, and they know it as well as I do. Thats why even though we know the cams prob wont do the trick, they know it will only be a matter of time.

True, however,anyone can go fast on those. going fast on american iron...now thats a challenge!
I used to ride an 04 FXDLi w/ Stage 2 95" kit PCIII,Pipes,intake,headwork,cams,the whole deal,I ran my bro's Stage 2 SE 1200 Sporty more than once, we were always neck and neck trough 1st and 2nd gear shortly after we hit third I would walk away from him every time .
My last HD was a 100hp Sporty; an '01 bored to 1200 with reworked Buell heads, cams, etc
It was quite quick; I bought it new, not from a girl. (I don't get this "girls bike" thing...)
Current FXDXT has 111hp and 117ft lbs from a nice running 103; weighs 600lbs wet. Would I beat my old Sporty? No... Could I? Yes; but I would need morehorsepower to overcome the flab factor; it boils down to hp/weight ratio.....
Sportster's are faster than I am.
Only for the first 3 gears.
Then my bike takes off.
10.24:1 compression. 2006 Superglide. 88 ci upgraded to 95 ci with cams, heads flowed, power commander and 2 into 1 exhaust.
