Default fork seals

Im getting ready to do a fork seal change on my 2000 fxdwg,my questions are is it a major project or is it something I can handle I am very mechanically inclined and I do have a repair manual,next question is the bike has almost 60 k in miles should I change out the springs also why I have it apart and what else should I change while im doing this thanks

I would recomend SE heavy oil if when you hit pot holes or brake hard the forks bottom out. Did that on mine and it made the ride much smoother. Just a thought. And some have posted using a split piece of PVC to install the seals too.
