Default Right side mirror pointing down.

When I bent my mini-apes back the mirrors pointed too low. I was able to adjust the left side, but the mast holding the right hand mirror is screwed into the asssembly holding the brake handle. If I change that, the brake lever is in a bad position.

Any thoughts about a solution? Different brand of mirrors? What are my options?

If you pulled the bars back toward you without moving the controls, the brake lever would be "higher" compared to stock. So adjusting the controls to lower the lever should return the positioning close to stock as well as raising the mirror.

How far back did you pull your bars? I moved mine back 1-2" then adjusted both controls and its like stock but lets me bend my elbows more.

Absoloutley agree with above , your controls should be leveled the way they were, once done your mirror should no longer be a problem. There is also a bolt under the mirror neck which will allow you to swivel the mirror in or out whichever you need.

Thanks for your answers.

This is hard to put into words. I pulled the bars back A LOT. See the attached photo above. I adjusted the controls so that the brake lever is at the correct angle. But the overall assembly is closer to my body and lower from my line of sight so that I have to scrunch down to see out of the mirror. The mirror is adjusted on the ball to the maximum up-angle, but it's not enough.

I was hoping I could buy aftermarket mirrors that would give me more options but I can't find anything.

WTF? Because I have short arms and I want to reach the grips without leaning forward all the time. More changes to the seat are not the answer.

Maybe there are bars that would be better than my stock mini apes for this. Or different brands of mirrors. I'm open to suggestions.

you might just have too rotate your levers a lil more or get different bars that are not so bent ..it looks like you have your bars way too far back..those bars were not intended to be pulled back so far

have you rode it that way, I would think with the apes it would not handle vey well, i mean it is your bike set it up for you, but that is like 10-12 inches of pull back. I would look into drag bars or some buck horns something like this....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harley-Buckhorn-Drag-bar-handle-bars-chopper-bobber-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5887f91c86QQitemZ38023 8371974QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessorieshave
would seem much safer and flow better!

Well looking at your pic your brake lever is still at 45 degrees from the ground dude, You need to rotate that further away from you. Don't worry it won't change your arm position.

I hate to admit it, but you are right. Sometimes you have to hit me in the head with it before I get it.

And the mini apes may have to go too. Just wrong for this application.

Thanks for taking the time. This forum is a great place.
