I have the edge ones.. no issues at all almost to close to the bike to be honest. But looks good & does what they should.

I know this thread is a couple weeks old, but..... I'm getting really tired of the rattle the stock HD detachable bags. Has anyone tried these brackets?

http://www.eagleleatherworks.com/bracket.html

Figured I'd rig some kind of sex bolt so I could tighten the bags down from inside the bag and eliminate the rattle.

I have the Easymounts and am satisfied with them. They do rattle when empty, but I carry stuff in them and they are silent. The slight key turn to lock and unlock, plus the one directional key in a hard to access place is my only complaint. I'd prefer at least a quarter turn and a key that I could more easily use without test trying to see if I had it correct or 180 degrees off.

All the negative statements about how they stick out or the the difficulty of fitting the mounting plates to the bags are valid.. But the advantages for me, out weigh the neg. Removal in mere seconds for the clean look, removal for the nite when on the road. I've had mine for about 6 years and no failures.

No problems from my Ez bracket. I did have a little problem when I installed mine, alignment, but when I contacted the Manufacturer he told me what to do and it's never been a problem since.
