Just looked at the Daytona Twin Tech website ... the TCFI III is an electronic fuel injection controller ... not for use with carb ....
The TC88A Ultra Performance Billet Ignition Module might work with your bike, but it is for up to '06 carb 88" twin cams ....
Didn't see a conversion kit in their catalog or products section of the website ... not sayin' there isn't one or that you might not be able to use the TC88A ignition with your bike if you converted to a carb ... would probably want to look at the wiring diagram ....
chris a tech from daytona twin tec sent me a pdf.file on the tcfi3 and it stated to use the unit for delphi carb conversion you just set all the efi tables and perameters to 0 and it turns its self into a ignition box so to speak. it states you must plug in crank pos.sensor, map sensor and vehicle speed sensor and it will fire the engine. i cant wait! im thinking of plunging in and ordering this and a mikuni carb kit!! real soon!!!
Per their website, the TCFI III retails for $875 (unless I missed something) ... see http://www.daytona-twintec.com/TCFI.html ... about half way down the page ....
If you can get it for $200, I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in your source (and Daytona-TwinTec might not be too happy) ....
You guys are making this conversion way to complicated, bring your EFI bike over to my place, and ride off on mine that has a carb. Problem solved. Its a sweet lowrider with 12k miles, and loaded. Would trade for an EFI model of similar value.
I don't believe the TCFI III is what you are looking for. But hey, if that is what you want and you can get it for $200.00 then go for it. But I would go the Thunderheart route. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...96690683468595
