I think out of all the reviews I've read on the dyna forums regarding the HD quick detach windshields, most of them are in the negative when referencing buffeting, etc.
I know someone with a memphis shades and he has never mentioned any sort of buffeting and I have brought the subject up to him.
My low profile, quick detachable windshield (from HD) works great on my 2007 FXDC. It takes the pounding off of my chest at speeds over 65ph on the freeway so I can go hundreds of miles while relaxing instead of holding on tight to keep from being blown backwards.
Got the same shield and bike, lol...I thing it's good combination because mine works great at blocking out wind at 65+ mph. I leave it off unless doing a long trip on the interstate.

I think the buffeting with these screens happens with most people. Some it seems to effect less or not at all; perhaps due to their height, the speed they ride at, their preference for this rather than straight-on wind, etc.
About the only fix I have seen that works is based on the idea that this buffeting comes mostly upwards from the direction of the rider's legs. One fix then is the leather vest with the stick-out flap, which diverts this wind from the head. The only other fix I have seen which seems to be effective is to add some extra wind deflectors to the screen at the bottom, which extends the bottom sides of the screen down about a foot. This seems to stop the source of the buffeting.
There's a thread around here showing you how to move the bottom of the ws out about one inch. that solved my problems. give that a try before you sell it. good luck

Yep, I kicked mine out 2" and it stopped all the buffeting, but didn't cut down on the wind hitting me.
Remember as a kid when riding in a car you would stick your hand out the window in a 'stop' position? Your hand would kick back and forth, side to side, but if you tipped your hand a bit, how much of a diff that made?
Aerodynamics. Some of the qd shields sit so the face the wind similar to your hand at the 'stop' position. By kicking the bottom forward a bit it allows the wind to slide over the shield instead of bucking against it. I just cut a couple of pieces of aluminum to fit so it pushed the bottom out 2" and everything smoothed out.
