DIY Street Bob Shield

I was just curious what you think about a shield that I'm testing. I cut it out myself and attached it to the bars using leather straps that I fabbed. I take a longer ride tomorrow to test it's effectiveness, but with a short trip it held up great.

I also have a HDQD shield, but it's quite large and it creates quite a bit of buffeting at highway speeds. My theory is that a smaller shield will produce smaller swirls of air pressure.

I'm not sure, however, of how it looks on the Bob. My wife says that it's redneck looking.

Looks nice, hopefully it won't slap you in the face, is it curved? who made that bag?

The shield is flat... I don't have a way to curve it. I made the bag from a Tandy template. It's my first try at leatherworking

bake it over something curved.
Nice leather work, I made my solo bag too.

I have since ditched the mini apes so I just go without a shield now.
