I've got one on my '02 Hugger. Works great and it makes for a really clean install. I also mounted one of their Baryl Racks on the top of my battery strap to hold my heated gear plug. I can plug up with just one hand.

I used the pigtail for the battery tender. Before using it for an auxiliary power point, I installed a 15 amp fuse at the battery for safety. Then I got a cigarette lighter plug from Wally World and a two prong plug that fit the battery tender plug. A little solder, some heat-shrink tubing and you're done.
When you don't need or want the aux power, just unplug and leave it at home. Use enough wire to allow it to slip in between the seat and tank.
+1
I do the same... keep the pigtail in my sidebag/battery box bag when not in use. When I need to charge my phone I just plug it in and throw it in the bag and ride on
Easy, for sure. Since its on my tender cable it's always hot. I have a Fatboy and up the phone I'm my hard bags while it charges. Take the adapter off when the phone is charged.
