I really don't think I ride all that aggressively. I surely do not push my WG like I do my liter bike on track days or anything... and as far as sag goes. I'm not a big guy by any means, so I cant imagine I am putting a huge stress on the factory set up.
I like the bikes stance as far as looks are concerned. If I do up grade the suspension I do not think Ill change the ride height. Ill just have the pipe welded when the time comes and deal with it. Now I just have to find someone I trust welding that pipe...
Rusty, let me rephrase what I said. You'd have to ride pretty aggressively to scrape the TH. I have scraped riding around my area but I was riding a little faster and sort of trying to scrape. I had just done a bunch (of scrapin) at the dragon and well, after awhile you start to feel like if you're not scrapin you're not riding.
Even riding 2 up, it's tough for me to scrape if I'm not trying.
I'm not small. 6'1" 230+ So, I would look at your suspension. Maybe it's set too low.
Also, you have to take into account if your bike is lowered or not.

There's a much simpler/cheaper solution. Just make a skid plate out of some of your old stock heat shield and clamp it in place where it touches down with some hose clamps. When you grind through it, replace it.In a pinch you could even patch up a minor hole with the same method.
