nice and timely - i just won a set of chrome lowers offa eBay, now almost everything is black or chrome... only the tappet covers to go!

Hey all, I saw a different thread on rocker box instals. But can't find it now. I put new gaskets on but one 1/2 inch bolt just keeps spinning. Will not torque down. I did them a little a time then went to 3 smaller bolts. It's not that tight but I'm not sure thanks. Any help

How long does it take to install just the rocker box top covers?

I was just quoted 4 hours to change the top covers from my dealership!
2 hours per top rocker cover? WTF!

I know all that it entails is to remove the tank, removed 6 bolts per rocker cover, remove old gaskets, clean the surfaces and apply new gaskets, apply the new rocker box top covers, and install the bolts torquing them to spec.

That doesn't sound like a 4 hour job to me!
