Default Tank lift kit

Can someone tell me why no one makes a tank lift kit for a 1994 FXDWG.
Is it because of the position of the fuel petcock?

Not familiar with the bike, but a drill, hacksaw, 6 inches of flat bar and a couple of screws, nuts and washers are all it takes to make a tank lift. If the petcock is an issue, other configurations are available.

I lifted my tank with some 1/8" x 3/4" aluminum bar cut to about 3" with holes on each end 2 inches center to center. Radius the ends, polish them up and use the factory bolt on the bottom and two 1" long 5/16" socket head screws, nuts and washers on the top.

By the way, stainless steel fasteners buff up to look like chrome, as does aluminum bar and tube.

If you can't buy it, want to save money, or just want to be creative, then make it!

To the guys with tank lifts: I notice that with the tank mounted in the stock position (at least on my dyna), the bottom of the tank is pretty much level where the fuel petcock is located. Does lifting the tank (2" to 3") have any effect on the fuel pick-up? IOW, is there any fuel left in the rear of the tank that is not being picked up? I really like the look of the lifted tank, but not at the expense of usable fuel capacity.
Thanks

That was also my concern. I just got finished unbolting the front & lifting it 2" & the petcock is definitely higher than the back of the tank.

You are correct in your observation, you will lose some range.
