Default D&D factcat on a Dyna mounting question...

I am mounting a fatcat on a Dyna. Does the front exhaust bracket on the bike go under or over the bracket on the head pipe? they are line up exactly even right now and I am not sure. I am thinking the head pipe bracket foes on top. Please let me know if you know.

thanks!

Drew

I mounted mine with the pipe bracket under the one on the bike. Haven't had any problems with it so I assume it's correct.

It went under The stock gaskets were too thick and made it really tough to get the pipe in the ports. Go figure.

D&D is made for the SE flat style gasket. For a good seal get some copper high temp gasket maker and the SE or other flat gaskets. Install gasket and run a ring of sealant around the gasket then install headers. also run a ring around where the pipe meets the collector. Best way to get a good seal the first time.

They sealed up just fine, but Ultra Copper is one of my favorite secrets!

cool I switched from stock to SE because the pipes just flat out fit way better on the bike. All the mounting points fit flush. Before, the bolts had to pull the pipes mounting points and brackets together(which is bad and an incorrect install).
