Well ... the inner fairing for my stereo has a shelf that is situated over the riser ... I have kind of contemplated the Touring type monkey bars or something ....
Well, thinking something like this would be really kick a$$ ... but, pretty pricey ....
Yes! Totally bada$$ and of course my favorites as well. I love brass parts and especially polished brass risers. I have been trying to figure out how to swing the extra cash for them but just don't have it right now. They (or a similar 4 inch set) are on my x-mas list. If you do get them, I would love to hear your impressions.
They fit a certain style bike. One where the owner is looking make the bike look old but have all the new technology stuff like push button starting and electronic ignition.
A bike like that might have a foot clutch and hand shift.
I always doubt Surforchops selections and yet they always go together nicely and make a unique and classy piece. So I just sit back and watch this guy. So I say I like them. I will keep an eye out for any cheaper versions for ya Surforchop.
Not to hijack the thread but can somebody drop a link to solid riser bushings? I am looking for a cheap set of solid bushings, or a good deal on some Poly bushings.

Try www.jpcycles.com part number 500021 for all that you really need poly bushings, $10.
I kind of like them. I have a friend that used the brass parts/handles off of a fire place poker/shovel set for risers. They look good too. He also used it for his shift lever. Haven't seen that before.
I just kind of thought those risers were a better option than going with something like this ....
Might look alright as long as I leave the fairing on, but don't really think they would look that good when I've got my bike all stripped down ....
May not go with the 'antique brass' risers, but maybe chrome ... just thinking the offset 'dog bones' are pretty cool and would be what I need to be able to retain my current set of mini-apes ....
I wish there was a little more clearance under the fairing ... then I might go with 6" offset risers with a set of 'chumps' ....
That or I could go to the trouble of having separate sets of bars like some guys do ... but, of course that adds a layer of complexity to the 'convertible' ....

p.s. those risers also come in chrome and even anodized black ... those two options might be even better given my setup ....
