Good, the OE Rotor will seal the openings in the Rotor Mtg Surface, but if you ever change to a different rotor, you'll want to check for that. That's why HD created that spacer/shim.

Btw, you probably noticed the larger than typical OD of that spacer/shim. (I had someone measure it for me ... approx 5-1/8" OD)


Here's an example of the Stock OE Rotor Sealing off the openings (look closely at Rotor Pattern left on the Mtg surface)... btw, that wheel corroded from water entering the Pulley side

unfortunately that's the mock up. The final front end will just be an extended version of the standard Dyna shocks.

When you've been riding a GSXR 1100 for twenty years , a stock Dyna IS a chopper .
