Depending on where trail currently is by going to 2* on the trees will bring it down possibly an 1.5". So if your trail is 5.7 a 2* tree would bring it to around 4.2"

Not sure what you're looking for, but I really like the Accutronix trees I'm running. Super clean. They only come in 3 and 5 deg though.

With 2* it would put me close to 4.2” I’m at 6 right now, with 3* I would be at 3.5 which is a little short for my chop. At least I think it would be. Close to 4.5 would be nice. May just need a girder fork for it

that’s a bill for another year though. The 6” trail handles fine under normal riding, it’s in the slow race that I notice it.

When you have ridden 50,000 + miles on a GSXR 1100 , a Dyna IS a Chopper .

All the frame tubes are tacked in place. Next up is a motor mount. While some won’t understand I’m changing out the fuel injection. With the new tank and round back bone the FI wiring harness stands out like a sore thumb so it’s time to clean it up.

I’ve put well over 100,000 on sport bikes. While the Dyna handles like a cruiser it’s not a chopper. Built right a chopper will handle better

One of the reasons I elected to stay with the stock square backbone is its a great place to hide all the wiring and I wasn't interested in ditching the FI. The way you're doing it this time definitely looks way better though. Are you staying with the same geometry as you had previously?

thanks for the compliment. I like the fuel
injection especially with the Thunder max, it’s just all the wires with the narrow tank stand out. After a year of riding I really like the feel of the setup so I decided to leave it the same. So rake is still at 32.5 which is a little tighter than most prefer but it handles well and I can still flip a u-turn at will. Even with that tight rake it just fits on the lift.

Loosely put it together so I could see the overall stance and lines before I build the new rear struts

I was kinda questioning your choice on the gas tank, but seeing it mocked up like that, it looks awesome. Nice work.

I did this 12 years ago. Not chopped, but a different Dyna look. EFI Frisco sportster tank worked great.
