How is everyone doing. To make a long story short, i took my Street Bob to the H-D here in mobile for an oil leak. The kid that worked on it put some kind of cleaner on it and it ate the paint from the tank on down. When i say on down, that is the Jugs, lower end of the motor, Tranny, heads, everything. They were going to make it right, and told me i had free labor on everything, for they where going to pull it a part. I was asked did i want to do anything to the motor. I was going to put some Cams in it, but then was asked about the Big Bore Stage II Kit for EFI Models - 103 Cubic Inches. So guess what, i got it. I had the whole thing powder coated black( the 09's where a gray color) and the top of the heads in black.
Now for i am asking. What is the best pipes to put back on it. Whatever it is they will be black. I want something with a good sound, put will keep the HP up. Thanks for the help. I have reading here for about a year now, so i guess it was time to get in the mix with everyone.

V&H Black Big Shots Staggered or a Black Thunder header.
CB
When you hit 3800 RPMs with the Thunderheader. The bike takes flight. I have one, but just swapped it for the stock pipes with cycle shack baffles. Actually it is right here next to me in my room, and it has the heat shields and all. I want to sell it, but the wife wants me to keep it to put on her bike.
Either the D&D or the TH will be right up your alley. I like the TH because I have experience with it. I had to change back to stock for a while cause the sound was getting to me in a time of stress from work and all, but tonight I setup a set of 2009 stock SB mufflers with the Cycle Shack baffles. Man, they made my bike sound good, and acutally it sounds more like a Harley for the first time since I had the bike. The TH sounds really good, but that dual pipe sound is sweet too.

I know I never said best, but it has a long been a favorite of drag racers, and Harley owners who like the TQ and HP above 3500 RPM. From my experience on a stock bike with an open AC and TH. The take off wasn't that impressive, but when you hit 3500 RPMs you could go from 40 to 80 in a blink of an eye in 3rd gear, and the bike felt like it wasn't touch the ground, and was still pulling like a rabid mule. Going from 2nd to 3rd WOT you could raise the front wheel. It allows for a lot of flow. It is a good pipe. Best? Well that is to be proven by someone who has the tools and time to prove it. I can't say it is the best. Just a good one, and would be an easy decision if I were to choose.
