I have the HD 18" quick release on my 06 street bob. Got it off eBay for 150 shipped. When I first put it on I had it low. With in 10 miles I had a headache. Put it as high as it will go and put a tool bag under the headlight. World of difference. I'm 6'1 if I sit up straight I see over it, but usually I don't and am looking through the shield got used to it. Just keep it clean. I wear a 3/4 helmet. I've got a 100 mile a day commute, mostly freeway at 75 mph. Makes a world of difference.

Memphis Shades makes a quality quick detachable windshield and is made here is our country. HD shields are way over priced... Check out http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cm...uestid=1083398

Anyone have any problem with the fats/slims? this option is almost 100 dollars cheaper and seems to be the same quality as HDs! I think I'm leaning towards the fats, anyone have any pictures of either on their dynas?

But it doesnt look like the detachable hardware actually comes off like the HD version, it appears to just be the windshield that pops off leaving the hardware there, am I correct?

I like my Sportech detachable windshield,I use the smallest one because I can't stand anything in my line of vision while riding. The quality is excellent.
