Have been away on vacation for the past 3 weeks, Decide to take a ride. switch on the ignition, all the lights etc come on except for my spedo display, try to start the bike but it was dead. decide to run it down the hill from my drive, she fires a couple of times but won't run. I tried this a few times with the same result. By this time I was 400 yards from the house and still it did not run. I had to push the bike back up the hill and into the garage, this took quite an effort. I checked battery connections, pulled all the fuzes but could not find anything visual, I decided to get the multimeter and check again, found the 15amp fuze below the 2amp fuze was blown. changed it out with one of the other fuzes and she fired up. This might be useful to others if they experience the same problem.
There was a lot of corrosion around the fuze, I suspect this was the problem, that it tracked to ground and blew the fuze. I cleaned the whole area before changing the fuzes.

Good safety tip and thanks for posting. I ran into a bizarre electrical problem with my Jeep that took me months and 2 new batteries to find. It turned out that the auto dimming drivers mirror was fried and shorted out the wires in the door, this ran down the battery. I fixed the thing but only after a great deal of frustration.
Low voltage is a killer. It does crazy stuff to electrical componets
Thats for sure, more amp draw, and heat. Don't believe me? when your battery is low,and your starter is cranking slow, reach down and grab the wire going to the starter after just a few seconds!
Thanks for the input Nigel. My scoot is at the dealership right now. We will see what they say. I did notice some corrosion in the fuse box (not good considering its a garaged 2010!). I will update you when I find out what it was.

Just got my wide glide back. It was indeed corrosion in the fuse box that caused my ECU fuse to pop. Check your fuse frequently folks! there may be cancer lurking. Either way my scoot is back so i'm happy as a pig in
