Max Speed in Gears
Hello everybody. I have an '06 Super Glide. Since it does not have a tach, I was wondering what the max speed is in all six gears. I cannot find it in the manuel. My old Sporty had it listed in the manuel but the SG does not.
Also, what rpm's are you at when cruising at 65mph? 70mph? 75mph?

I have an excel chart that cross charts.. RPM ..with Gears ..with speed.. real handy

Yep!
I noticed yesterday it hit 70mph in 2nd gear when I shifted to 3rd. Cruising at or above 70mph is the only time I use 6th.

I was wondering that same thing and also minimum speed in gears. Mines still fairly new but I tried 6th gear the other day at 60 mph, sounded way to slow, from what I could hear. Seems like 6th gear need to be used about 75mph and higher.
After looking at the chart looks like Im riding between 2500 and 3200 rpm.

My 06 Dyna manual says
2nd 15mph
3rd 25mph
4th 35mph
5th 45mph
6th 55mph
Retarted. I usually don't hit 6th until 65-70mph and later if I'm riding aggressively.
