There's a thread going for the new combo speedo/tach somewhere on here, but my experience was really simple. P/N 70900070 comes with a 4-pin to 12-pin plug, and you plug it into the data port at the fuse box, and it transfers all the data. Once the new speedo is installed, it counts down from 31 miles until it is set to the ecm.
Hardest part of the 20 minute job was the damn grommet around the unit.
Has it ever calibrated itself yet? How much riding have you done since you installed it?
Low fuel lamp still remains lit, and the miles to empty always shows 'Lo". Bike now has 1903 miles on the odometer, so I've actually put 1703 miles on it since it came programmed with 200. Spoke to a guy in the service dept and he said for me to make an appt. and they would see if they could sort it out. If not, they would handle it under warranty.

+1
Exact experience I had with mine, including the grommet LOL!!! Extremely easy... IMO the dealer should charge you 1/2 their labor rate if you insist on having them do it. Very happy with my guage... Good luck!
