Default *Need Help.. 2007 96cc Big Radius Stage-1 Map Request

Hi everyone,

So my bike is at the dealership. They talked me into the screamin eagle pro race tuner. I currently have 2-2 V&H Big Radius pipes with smartonze quiet baffles, along with a screamin eagle stage-1 air cleaner. The dealer told me they were going to put the best map in they thought would match my set up. That may be fine, but my bike will still run hot and closed loop will remain the same.

Since the pro tuner is rather new I'm afraid there's a shortage on maps. I am looking for a map that is tweaked for closed loop, open loop, timing etc.. from someone that has a similar set up as mine. Would anyone here please allow me to use there custom tweaked map. It would be greatly appreciated. If so, I would also like to know what was changed and if you dyno it what the trq/hp and a/f ratio was. Thanks.

Start with 176AE106.dt0 and then use SmartTune on the SEPST to let the system tune itself.

Hi, and thanks for the advice.

I'm guessing that smart tune won't adjust the closed mode clb to make it richer, and if so, only within the computers lean range of 14:1 to 14:7 and I dout 14:1. Would I also first need to manually set all the closed mode values to .798? As posted elsewhere so the computer will keep richening closed mode as much as it can due to the narrow band o2 set up. So .798 in smart tune as well should get me to 14:1?

I wish there was a way to type in a target a/f ratio in closed/open/both, say 13:2 to 13:5 open, 13:8 closed and then let smart tune adjust it to that?? Sorry, I'm kinda confused??

You are making it too complicated.

Look, do as Foxster suggested. Smart Tune will adjust your VE tables and you can set whatever AFR you want in the AFR table.

Some people like to screw around with the CLBs thinking they can somehow make the system self tuning, but I think the intended use of the CLBs is to adjust the sensor switch point for various fuel blends.

K, so smart tune will richen up open loop to a chosen table I set it to. Now if I did that for closed loop, changed all the 14:6's to 13:8''s than I would be bypassing the 02's? I apprecite the advice, I just can't see how smart tune can change the closed loop values when there restricted by the narrow band 02's.

I wish someone had a tweaked map to try..

I know.... But My dealer chose the sreamin eagle pro race tuner so that is what I am using. I have read lots good on the PCV. I also prefer not to have an add on box. I cannot deny the support for the PCV (from what I have read) seems to be really good.

You set the closed loop AFR with the values in the Closed Loop Bias tables. You can take the values to their max of about 800 but I wouldn't recommend that, you will be running the narrowband O2 sensors outside their working tolerance.

Anyway, for closed loop, you aren't gaining the performance boost of getting the AFR down to 13.0-13.5:1 as you would for open loop. To drag the closed loop operation down there too is just a waste of fuel. Getting it down around 14.2-14.3 or so will cool the engine and improve idling but without ruining the MPG.

I got a really nice flat AFR of around 13.5:1 when loading the engine, giving an excellent performance boost over stock with the SEPST and stage-1 hardware. I used the 176AE106.dt0, tweaked the CLB values to ~650 and then did three long SmartTune sessions. Didn't need to touch the open loop values at all.
