Welcome to the uniqueness of HD. Don't start over tightening too much because what you are talking about is pretty normal.
Agreed. I seen the thread title and kind of chuckled before I even opened it up to read the comments in here. Chances are that none of the mirrors being talked about here are vibrating like HD's used to.
My right always vibrated more than my left. Since I did the shim the motor mount trick my right now vibrates a only little bit and my left almost none at all.

Is it possible you can mention in detail the motor mount "trick" 1 more time. Please be specific. I have seen the thread a while ago.
Was it:
1 jack up motor so the weight is off
2 loosen the bolts on the front motor mount
3 check gap
4 insert washer or shims to take up the gap
5 retighten to factory spec ft lbs
Now is that put a floor jack under the motor with the bike standing straight up and down level? Just jack up enough to get some of the weight off. If this is the case i would think by jacking up the motor, of course there would be a gap if you loosened the motor mounts.
Yep, my mirrors (stock) were always solid. Then I hit a deep rut at an intersection one night, pretty sure I went airborne. Next thing I knew, I had foot numbing vibration in my foot pegs, and I couldn't make out anything in my mirrors. My dealer replaced the front motor mount under warranty. Problem solved and been fine ever since, around 10k miles ago.
Not being a smarty pants, but is this you guys first motorcycle, or first bike with these type of mirrors? I have never had a mirror of this style not vibrate some from the pure fact that I am riding in wind at 70 mph.
If you had attached mirrors with a wind faring blocking the mirror such as some sports bikes or a car then I could see the concern for vibration, but with a post type mirror without protection from the wind. What do you expect?
